TEMPO’s newest VJ, Maria Carolina Sánchez is no stranger to attracting attention and demanding an audience. This model and former beauty queen, currently resides in New Jersey, but her roots are deep down in the Dominican Republic, the nation of which she was born and raised.
 
Maria got her experience in modeling during her first few years in the U.S. She’s learned the techniques and skills necessary to advance in the modeling industry while studying in New York City. In 2007, Maria was granted the opportunity to represent as an ambassador of her country, being crowned as Miss Dominican of New Jersey. She later achieved the goal of achieving her Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism.
 
She has since been a part of several television shows holding positions such as the producer, director, as well as on-air talent. When not hard at work in her career field, in her free time, this beautiful, yet talented Caribeña, enjoys reading, cooking, watching films, and attending social events. She lives by one of her favorite quotes by non-other than Walt Disney, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
