The man called Matterhorn has been well known to the world of dancehall since the 90's, when he established himself as the top selector on soundsystems like Addy's and Inner City Disco. 2006 finds him wearing a new crown as he dominates reggae charts with the boom tune called "Dutty Wine". The dance frenzy that's accompained the song is no suprise to those familiar with his hard-sell approach as a disc jock, but it's melodic quality may be. "I've been had melody for the longest," he explains, but until now his sense of melody was mostly put to use on arrangements for other artists. "Like 'nuff time me and Elephant Man woulda sit down and do some songs-we make so many songs, me nuh even remember them."
